I LOVE thunderstorms, especially with a great light show but I am very scared of tornadoes, especially at night with the windows closed (can’t hear the sirens), with my kids down the hall. Watching the news doesn’t help.
I have never been artistic at all and am awful at drawing. Well, 2 year olds don’t care about this. So, when my daughter asked me to draw a few animals this evening, I obliged. To my surprise, I am better then I remember, if I do say so myself.
Here is the result, can you tell which animals they are supposed to be (luckily she asked for very specific animals)?

My thoughts are all over the place tonight. Here are a few things on my list:
- Disappointed at myself for not working out in the last 3 days (though I did do my set of planks and ‘pushups’ before bed last night).
- How much do I depend on technology? I just walked upstairs with my iPhone, iPad, Macbook, and 2 baby monitors (one video, one audio, each on a different child)
- Why do I hate to fold laundry so much??? Seriously, I have a huge pile that is clean and just needs to be folded.
- I HATE AUTO TUNE!!!
- Should we have to pay for a locksmith for our tenants that locked themselves out? (We live 25 miles away and are in the middle of a thunderstorm/tornado warning and it is 9:15 on a Sunday night)
Let me know what your thoughts are on this Sunday evening! Hope you all had a great weekend.
I’m dying. Thank goodness the dog just barked at me to go out, I needed a breather. Back to it!
It’s perfectly acceptable for me to do the Tracy Anderson Post-Pregnancy workout dvd 14 months after having my son, right? I mean it is post-pregnancy and I already own this dvd. I want to make sure that I am fully prepared to workout pretty much everyday before shelling out the $ for her Metamorphosis dvd’s.
This is how my attempts were counted when I did no knee pushups. I first did ‘3’ “real” pushups, then collapsed. I then 1 set of 6, 15 second planks, then back to the 3 pushups. I really can’t hang with my hubby with his before bed pushups… But I’m trying to attempt to keep up.
Thank you everyone who voted! It was close, but you all chose the Elaine and Miller that can be seen above and here!
To be entered into the giveaway, all you have to do is reblog this post. Your name can be entered only one time, but feel free to blog about it as much as you want :)…
Pick me please!!! I love this necklace.
My group of best friends and I have been friends since elementary school/middle school/high school. They are the greatest girls in the world. We are not able to get together as often as we like, Miriel lives in Colorado, Erika is in the city, Stephanie is in a south suburb, and I am in the western ‘burbs. Plus life gets in the way with kids, husbands, work, etc.
Well, we always make a point of getting together when M is in town, usually at my house b/c of the kiddos. Friday night we went down south and stayed at Steph’s house.
First we went out to dinner, then to a martini bar (where I swear I saw R. Kelly, but he left out the back right after we got there).

After martinis we headed back to Steph’s and made cocktails, laughed a lot (I had tears streaming down my face from laughing so hard), put The Voice on demand (though we didn’t hear much of what was being said) and had a good old fashioned slumber party.

This was my first night away from our kids since my son was almost 14 months ago and what I great night it was! We ended up staying up until 5am (I don’t think I’ve done this in at least 5 years).
BIG thanks to my girls for such a wonderful evening and to my hubby for taking care of the kids! Love you all!
I used to do/still do the exact same thing. Add J. Crew to the list.
The American Girl post that’s been floating around reminded me of one of my favorite past times, then and now: catalog browsing.
I remember pouring over my cousin’s American Girl catalog, taking mental notes of everything I’d buy if I had limitless money. Most distinctly, the Samantha doll and…
One of my dogs just sat on the side of our bed and barked until I took him outside, it’s only 4:30am. He did the same thing at 1:30am. My first thought is this better not become habit. We’ll upon his return into the house he proceeded to vomit on the floor next to my feet and immediately started eating it, gross.
The hours of a stay at home mom are confirmed, 24/7. If it’s not the babies, it’s the dogs. Hard work but I love (most) of it.
Well, hopefully I can get back to sleep.
Night!
