The sky is flashing orange and green. With every flash, the lights in the house dim to pretty much off but the TV stays on. Weird. 

Does anyone have a good recipe for cauliflower puree? The last time I tried to make this it didn’t turn out to be very good.

I have been really good since starting this diet about 7 weeks ago, 14 pounds down as of last Friday. A few bad days here and there usually on the weekends and usually involving alcohol but I’ve been pretty good. I have figured out that my downfall is alcohol and snacking before bed, lots of snacking (no matter how good cauliflower is for you, the dip still counts). Well, this past weekend was Carlyn’s wedding!

It was beautiful and I ate and drank a lot! No counting points on Friday.

Saturday night was a White Sox game (my kids’ first game) with my entire family, I think there were 18 of us. It was a great game, a few home runs and a lot of fireworks but again, I ate it ALL. Saturday no points were counted again.

Well, Sunday I figured might as well keep the no points going so I finished my weekend off with this great dirty martini. 

Last night I was good except for late snacking and glass of wine. Today, I’ve been good. 

I’m sure a pound or 2 has returned but I have kept working out and will continue with the points counting. The last few months of this year will be difficult with all of the holiday get togethers but I’m determined to get to where I want to be. 

Ok, what was the deal with that weird sound during the Emmys last nigth? Did anyone else notice it? 

So I need to get a hair cut (I haven’t had it cut since last August when I donated 11 1/2 inches). This is what my hair currently looks like: 

This is the inspiration hair that I plan to have before Carlyn’s wedding on Friday! 

Another focus group, this one is about candy. I need to stop qualifying fir all of these food focus groups. Candy for dinner it is!
